Bridge Cottage is on our land, just next to our house. It looks out over the river Annan. The garden's at the back, up on a bit of a bank, so you get a good view down to the water.
It's all on one floor. Two bedrooms, one bathroom, sleeps three. It's a 3 Star, so it's clean and has everything you need but it's not a show home. It's an old cottage, so the ceilings are low in a couple of places if you're tall.
There's an open fire in the living room. We leave some logs for you to start with. The garden is fenced, with a table and chairs. You can hear the river from there.
Lockerbie is about two and a half miles away. There's a supermarket, a few shops, and places to eat. The train station is there too, with direct trains to Carlisle, Glasgow, or Edinburgh if you fancy a day out without driving.
It's quiet around here. You can walk from the door along the river or through the woods. For a proper walk, the Southern Upland Way isn't far. There's a golf course in Lockerbie.
If you drive, you can be at the Solway coast in under half an hour. Dumfries is about 15 minutes the other way. There are a lot of historic houses and ruins around here, like Lochmaben Castle or Robert Burns Birthplace Museum in Alloway.
What's here: washing machine, TV, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if needed. No pets, sorry.
