Cressfield Villa
Cressfield Villa is in Ecclefechan. It's a detached house next to a hotel. You get your own garden, but you can also use the hotel's grounds if you want.
It sleeps seven. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 3 Star property, so it's comfortable and clean. The kitchen has what you need. The hotel is about twenty yards away and you can book meals there if you don't fancy cooking.
The village is small. There's a shop about half a mile away. The local pub is just there by the hotel.
It's right off the M74, so it's easy to get to if people are coming from different places. Gretna Green is about ten minutes down the road. For history, the National Trust for Scotland runs Thomas Carlyle's birthplace in the village as a museum.
You're in southern Scotland here. Dumfries is about fifteen miles away. The Solway Coast is within half an hour for a drive and a walk. You can get into the borders or up towards the Galloway Forest within an hour if you want a proper day out.
For facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, WiFi, and a cot and highchair if needed. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs.
