The Moat House

It's an old house, built on the bank of an 11th century castle moat. You can see the other side of the moat from the garden. The garden is enclosed.
The house has been set up for people with mobility needs. There's a lift to the first floor. Two of the bedrooms have ceiling hoists. Three bedrooms have electric beds. There are two wet rooms with level-access showers, grab rails and seats. The kitchen has some rise and fall worktops.
The stairs are there and they're fine, but the lift is the main way up. It's all on one level once you're in.
You can bring up to four dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
It's a short walk into Annan's main street. There are pubs, a restaurant, and a shop about 200 yards away. The local cinema is there too.
The coast is about a mile and a half away. There's a beach at Annan. For fishing, there's river, sea, and loch fishing all within five miles.
If you want to explore, Caerlaverock Castle is a moated castle about half an hour's drive. Drumlanrig Castle is also within half an hour. For a family day out, Mabie Farm Park is nearby. Gretna Gateway Outlet Village is about fifteen minutes away for shopping.
You're in Dumfries and Galloway, so there are a lot of forest and coastal walks. The South West Coastal Path is on your doorstep. The National Trust for Scotland has several properties and gardens in the region.
