Mossdale is an Edwardian cottage in Rockcliffe. It was built in 1908. It's detached and about a two minute walk from the beach. The beach is sandy and safe for swimming.
It sleeps five in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower downstairs and a family bathroom upstairs. Two of the bedrooms have a view of the sea. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxury.
The living room has big bay windows looking onto the garden. The garden is enclosed, so it's private and safe for dogs. There's a beach basket chair out there. Through the back, there's a large utility room. It's good for drying off after the beach or storing bikes and golf clubs.
You can take up to two pets. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a woodburning stove. Parking is on the drive.
The beach is 100 yards away. You can launch small boats or canoes from there. The village of Kippford is a walk along the Jubilee Path. That path goes through land owned by the National Trust for Scotland. Kippford has two pubs that do food, and it's the sailing centre for the area.
There's a lot of golf around here. For mountain biking, the local stage of the 7Stanes network is about 15 minutes away by car. Another stage at Mabie Forest is roughly half an hour.
For wider trip planning, the Visit Scotland Galloway site is useful.
