Montys
Montys is in Castle Douglas. It's a two-storey apartment that sits above a public bar. The bar is well known locally and you get to it via an internal staircase from the flat. You should know that.
It sleeps a fair few, up to nine people. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious. The furniture is simple.
You're just off the main street. There are good shops, cafes, and a park with a loch and a play area all within a short walk.
For things to do, you're well placed. Threave Castle and its gardens are nearby. Loch Ken is about a 20-minute drive for watersports. The Galloway Forest Park is about half an hour away. It's a Dark Sky Park, so if it's a clear night the stars are good.
The facilities are what you'd expect: dishwasher, TV, WiFi, towels are provided. You can bring one dog. There's local fishing and a golf course close by.
