Lochside House
Lochside House is in Castle Douglas. It's a big, detached place that looks out over the park and Carlingwark Loch.
It sleeps ten people. There are five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's a 5 Star place, so everything is new and finished to a high standard. The layout is good for groups.
The main room is open-plan with big doors out to the garden. It's a big garden too, fully enclosed. There's a swim spa and a separate hot tub out there. There's also a garden room with its own shower. For cooking outside, there's an outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven and a gas BBQ.
Inside, the kitchen is modern. There's a separate playroom for kids. Upstairs, the main bedroom has its own bathroom, a walk-in wardrobe, and a balcony overlooking the loch.
Castle Douglas is a short walk away. It's a market town with good food shops and a few galleries. There's a pub nearby.
The area is good for walking. The Galloway Forest Park is about a 30 minute drive. It's a dark sky park, so good for starry nights if it's clear. You can fish on the loch.
For facilities, it has pretty much everything. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, parking on site, and an electric vehicle charger. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
