Berkeley
This is Berkeley in Kippford. It's a detached house up on the hill, so you get the views. You can see the estuary and the hills from most of the front rooms.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. They all have their own bathrooms, which is handy. It's a 5 Star place, so it's well finished. Everything is on one level, so there are no stairs inside.
The main living area is open plan. Big windows and patio doors lead out to a balcony. That's where you'll sit. There's a wood burner for cooler nights. The kitchen has the usual stuff: dishwasher, washing machine.
The garden is enclosed. At the bottom, there's a path that leads straight down to the shore and the beach.
Kippford itself has two pubs, both serve food. It's a sailing village. In August, they have Kippford Week with boat races. A good walk is from the house along the coast path to Rockcliffe. It's a National Trust path. National Trust for Scotland Rockcliffe page.
If you want to go a bit further, Dalbeattie Forest is about ten miles away for mountain biking on the 7Stanes trails. 7Stanes Dalbeattie. Colvend golf course is a couple of miles up the road.
You can bring one dog. There's parking on the drive. Bedding and towels are included.
