Eleven

It's called Eleven. It's a modern cottage in Kilkhampton. It's not old or fancy, it's fairly recent build, but it's tidy and does the job. You get off-road parking.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one double and one with twins. One bathroom with a shower over the bath. It's got a Three Star rating. That's accurate. It's functional and clean.

Downstairs is all open plan. Living area, small dining table, kitchen. There's a TV and WiFi. It's got electric heating and an electric fire.

Kilkhampton village is a short walk. You've got two pubs, a small Co-op, and a very good butcher. The Little Pig farm shop is worth a look for local stuff.

Bude is about a ten minute drive. That's where the main beaches are. Summerleaze has the sea pool. Crooklets and Widemouth Bay are good for surfing and sand. The coast path runs right past them.

If you want to explore further, the Hartland Peninsula is within half an hour. Dramatic cliffs and walking. For a day out, Tintagel Castle is roughly 30 minutes south. You can book that through English Heritage.

You can bring up to three dogs. There's no enclosed garden, just a shared bit of grass out the front, so you'd need to walk them on a lead there. Bedding is included. No towels.
