Barn Cottage is on our farm in Stibb, Cornwall. It’s a reverse-level place, which means you walk into the kitchen and living area on the first floor. The bedrooms are on the ground floor.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms and has one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. The stairs inside are the kind you find in old farm buildings, so they’re quite steep and narrow. Something to be aware of.
You’ve got a small private garden and patio with a BBQ. There’s a wood burner in the living room. We provide the wood. All the bedding and towels are included. There’s a washing machine, a cot, a highchair and a stairgate if you need them. WiFi and a TV are there too.
We’re a working beef and sheep farm, so you’ll see animals about. It’s 150 acres. You’re welcome to walk across the fields. We sometimes have free-range eggs available. You can bring one dog, but it needs to be kept on a lead around the livestock.
The coast is about two miles away. Bude is the nearest town for shops and things. The beach at Sandymouth is good for families, it’s sandy with rock pools. Further up the coast in Devon, Hartland Quay and the village of Clovelly are worth a trip. Clovelly is that steep, cobbled fishing village you see in pictures.
