Ponderosa

This is Ponderosa. It's a detached chalet in Llansteffan, Carmarthenshire.

The place sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and clean, but not luxurious. It's open plan inside, which keeps it light. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on the drive.

You're allowed up to two dogs. There's a decent sized garden, which is fully enclosed.

The beach is about five minutes walk away. It's a big sandy beach, good for walking and swimming. The village has a pub and a shop. The castle is up on the hill. It's a ruin, but it's free to walk around and the views are good. It's run by Cadw.

If you like walking, the coast path goes right past. You can walk to Ferryside along the estuary. The local area is good for birdwatching and fishing.

For a day out, you can drive to the National Botanic Garden of Wales in about half an hour. The Gower Peninsula, for Rhossili Bay, is just over an hour away. Tenby is about 45 minutes by car. If you've got children, Folly Farm and Oakwood Theme Park are both within a 30 to 40 minute drive.
