The Smithy
The Smithy is one of three old farm barns we converted next to our house in Llanllwch. It's on the ground floor, which is all one open plan room. It's for two people.
You've got the basics: a kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine, a comfortable bed, and a bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's comfortable and well equipped. The WiFi works fine.
Outside is a patio garden area that's just for you. It looks out over fields. We often see red kites and buzzards flying over.
You can bring two dogs. There's parking right outside.
The location is quiet. The nearest shop is about five minutes walk. There's a pub a mile away in the village.
You're right on the border of Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire. For walking, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Trust areas and the Preseli Hills are close. The National Botanic Garden of Wales is about a 20 minute drive.
Carmarthen and Laugharne are market towns nearby. Laugharne has the Dylan Thomas Boathouse and a castle by the estuary. Tenby and Saundersfoot, with their beaches, are under half an hour's drive away. You can get to a few castles like Carew or Kidwelly in that time too.
