Shooting Star

This is Shooting Star. It's in Talog, Carmarthenshire. It's our barn. We converted it and finished it a couple of years ago. It's detached, on about thirty acres. You get the views across the valley. Your garden is enclosed.

It's for eight people. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. One of the bathrooms and a bedroom are on the ground floor, and the entrance is wheelchair accessible. There's an electric vehicle charger on the drive.

Inside, it's all open plan. Kitchen, dining, living area together. The kitchen is new and has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's a big lantern in the roof that lets in a lot of light. French doors open onto the deck. The deck has a barbecue and steps down to the garden. The hot tub is out there, private to you.

The stairs to the first floor are not steep. The main bedroom has the best view. All the bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.

You can bring two dogs. The garden is enclosed but it's not totally escape-proof if you have a real roamer.

Carmarthen town is about twenty minutes' drive for supermarkets and shops. Laugharne, where Dylan Thomas lived, is closer. The coast at Tenby and Saundersfoot is under half an hour. You've got Oakwood Theme Park and Folly Farm nearby too.

For walking, you're right on the border of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The National Botanic Gardens of Wales are worth a visit. There are a few castles like Kidwelly and Carew within a short drive. The National Cycle Route 47 runs along the edge of the land if you're into cycling.

It's a five-star grading, so it's well-equipped. There's parking for three cars maybe. Satellite TV and WiFi are included.

We've got two other cottages here, Moonlight and Starlight. You can book them together if you're a bigger group.
