The Parlour
The Parlour is in Llanllwch, near Carmarthen. It's one of three old barns next to each other, converted into cottages. We live in the main farmhouse nearby.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and modern inside, but it's still a barn conversion, so the rooms are a good size.
The kitchen is open plan with the living area. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. We include all bedding and towels. You can park right outside.
You're welcome to bring up to two dogs. There's a stairgate and a highchair if you need them.
Outside, there's a private sitting area. It's quiet here. You'll often see red kites and buzzards flying over the fields.
The nearest shop is about 300 yards away. There's a pub a mile down the road.
You're well placed here for getting about. Carmarthen town is about ten minutes by car for supermarkets and shops. Laugharne, where Dylan Thomas lived, is about twenty minutes away. The coast at Tenby or Saundersfoot is under half an hour's drive. For walking, the Preseli Hills are right on the doorstep.
