Mill Cottage
This is Mill Cottage in Llanybri. It's one of a pair of cottages next to our house. The cottage used to be a water mill, so there's a mill race that runs into the stream at the bottom of the garden. The stream goes out to the River Taf and then into Carmarthen Bay.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well equipped. The main living space downstairs is open plan.
You share the big lawn and garden with The Granary next door if it's occupied. There's a BBQ out there. We have an electric vehicle charger on site. Parking is on site too, but we can only have a maximum of two cars per booking.
The West Wales Coastal Path is about half a mile away. The village pub and a restaurant are also about half a mile up the road. The closest shop is two miles away in Llansteffan.
Llansteffan itself is worth a visit. It's got a castle with good views over the Towy estuary. You can see the Gower from there. Further along the coast, Laugharne is about a twenty minute drive. That's where Dylan Thomas lived. You can visit his writing shed.
If you head west for another ten minutes or so, you get to Pendine Sands. It's a long beach where they used to set land speed records. For a bigger beach day, Tenby is about forty minutes in the car. The National Botanic Garden of Wales and Carmarthen town are within half an hour.
We allow up to three dogs. The facilities include a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and a cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included.
