Pentre Cottage is in Ferryside, Carmarthenshire. It's one of a few cottages here, converted from old farm buildings. They're on a bit of a hill, up a quiet lane.
It sleeps seven. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-finished. The main living area is open plan. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings.
You've got your own enclosed garden with a patio and a BBQ. There's parking right there. The garden gets the sun. There's also a shared field for dogs and a play area for children.
We take up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it. Facilities are what you'd expect: TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Ground floor facilities means there's a bedroom and bathroom on that level, which is handy.
The local shop and pub are about half a mile away. Ferryside itself is quiet. It's a proper Welsh village, not touristy. The beach is a short drive or a decent walk. It's a big, sandy estuary beach.
You're well-placed for getting out. Kidwelly Castle is about ten minutes away. Pembrey Country Park is similar, with a huge beach and a motorsport centre. Carmarthen is a twenty minute drive for bigger shops.
Within half an hour you can get to the National Botanic Garden of Wales, or Laugharne for Dylan Thomas's Boathouse. The Pembrokeshire coast isn't much further. The Millennium Coastal Path runs for miles along the coast here, past Kidwelly and towards Swansea. It's good for walking and cycling.
