Can-Y-Mor

Can-Y-Mor is the name of the apartment. It's in a village called Llansteffan, in Carmarthenshire. The main house was split years ago, so it's the first floor flat of one half. It's got this great view out over the bay, which is nice.

It sleeps four, but it's two bedrooms. There's actually two bathrooms, which is handy. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and generally well looked after.

You're really close to everything. The shop and a pub are about 25 yards from the front door. The beach is a five minute walk down the lane. It's a proper sandy beach, good for kids.

The castle is a short walk up the hill from the village. It's a ruin, but it's interesting and the views from up there are the best. You don't really need a link, you can just see it.

For a longer walk, the Millennium Coastal Path starts nearby and goes for miles. Pembrey Country Park is about a 20 minute drive that way. It's got a huge beach and some activities.

In terms of facilities, it's got what you'd expect. Washing machine, Wi-Fi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's also a small games room in the shared basement, which has a table tennis table.

One thing to note is the apartment is on the first floor. The stairs inside are fine, but the external steps up to the front door are a bit steep. Worth knowing if you have mobility issues.

If you're thinking of a day out, Carmarthen town is about 15 minutes by car for supermarkets. Tenby is lovely but it's more like 45 minutes away. The National Trust has a few places nearby, like Aberdeunant and Dolaucothi Gold Mines.
