Swn-Y-Don

Swn-Y-Don is near Pant yr Athro, Carmarthenshire. It's part of Maesgwynne Mansion, a big stone place we fixed up. It’s on our working farm, so you’ll see sheep about. We live on site, and we’ve got two friendly dogs.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. The rating is 5 Star, which basically means it’s done up well and everything works. The views from there are good. You look out over the fields to Carmarthen Bay.

Inside, it's spacious. There's a kitchen that leads into the living room. There's a wood burner, beams, and oak floors. The stairs are normal. The bath is one of those roll-top ones, and there's a separate shower too.

You’ve got your own patio with a hot tub. It’s on a decked area. Because it’s dark here at night, you can see the stars if it's clear.

The village, Llansteffan, is about a mile and a half away if you walk through the fields. There's a good sandy beach there and a castle ruin. The village has a café, a couple of pubs, and places to eat.

In terms of things to do locally, there's sailing and golf. For a day out, Tenby is under 45 minutes by car. So is Oakwood theme park and Folly Farm. The Botanic Garden of Wales is about half an hour away. The Gower is maybe 45 minutes to an hour, depending on where you're going.

What’s here: parking right outside, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, a cot and highchair if needed. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a BBQ you can use. No pets, sorry.
