Hawton

Hawton is in St Ishmael, right on the Carmarthen Bay coastline. It's part of a small row of three terraced cottages, and you've got one of the end ones. It means you're attached to one neighbour, but you have your own garden which is enclosed.

It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is useful. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The renovation kept a lot of the original stone and beams, so it feels like an old building but without being too draughty.

You're about three quarters of a mile from the local pub and restaurant. The shop is a couple of miles away in Ferryside. The beach at Ferryside itself is a short drive, and Pembrey and Llanstephan beaches are close too. You can walk down to the coast from here.

Kidwelly Castle is very close, just a few minutes in the car. Carmarthen town is about a ten-minute drive for bigger shops. If you fancy a day at the races, Ffos Las racecourse is fifteen minutes away.

You're in a good spot for exploring further. The Gower Peninsula, which was Britain's first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is within an hour. So are parts of Pembrokeshire. Laugharne, where Dylan Thomas lived, is about twenty minutes away. The National Botanic Garden of Wales and Aberglasney Gardens are both within a thirty-minute drive.

For facilities: it has a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, a washing machine, WiFi, and TV. There's on-site parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a travel cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
