Springer Cottage

Springer Cottage is on the main street in Llansteffan. It's mid-terraced, one of a row of old stone cottages.

It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The garden is enclosed, which is good for dogs or kids, and there are French doors from the living room out to it. It gets the sun in the afternoon.

A back gate from the garden leads to a path. You turn left and you're in the village centre in a few minutes. Turn right and you're on the lane down to the beach. The beach is sandy and looks across the estuary to Ferryside.

The village has a pub that serves food, a shop, a cafe, and a restaurant. The Norman castle is up on the headland. You can walk up there or around Wharley Point. The views over to Laugharne are good.

Laugharne is about a 15 minute drive. It's known for its connections to Dylan Thomas. There are a few places to eat there, like The Boat House cafe and Browns Hotel. The castle is worth a look.

If you want a bigger town, Carmarthen is eight miles away. It has the usual supermarkets, shops, and a cinema.

For a day out, you're about 40 minutes from the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Tenby is just under an hour's drive. Pembrey Country Park is about half an hour away, and they have a Go Ape course.

Facilities here: there's a dishwasher, a washing machine, Wi-Fi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring pets. There's parking for one car on the street directly outside.
