The Cart Shed

The Cart Shed is in Broadlay, near Ferryside in Carmarthenshire. It's a detached cottage, part of a small group converted from old farm buildings about ten years ago. It's up on the hill, so you get good views.

It sleeps three. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious. The stairs are a bit steep, just so you know.

You've got your own patio with a barbecue and a garden area. There's bike storage if you need it, and parking right outside.

It's quiet here. The village and the estuary are peaceful. There's a shop and a pub about half a mile down the road. The local bus stops nearby too, if you don't want to drive.

For a day out, Kidwelly Castle is about a ten-minute drive. Pembrey Country Park is a bit further, maybe fifteen minutes. They've got a big beach there. The Millennium Coastal Path is good for cycling or walking.

If you fancy a drive, you can get to the National Botanic Garden of Wales or Laugharne, where Dylan Thomas lived, in about half an hour. West into Pembrokeshire takes about the same time.

The place is pet-friendly, for up to two dogs. There are some paths on site for walks. Bedding and towels are included. There's a dishwasher, a washing machine, and a cot and highchair if you need them.
