Dove Cottage
Dove Cottage is in Carway, Carmarthenshire. It's a detached cottage, converted from a barn. We're on a seven-acre smallholding with horses, sheep, goats, and chickens. You'll see them about.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom upstairs with a walk-in shower. The rating is 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well-kept. The living room has beamed ceilings and French doors that open out to the garden. The garden is enclosed and south-facing, so it gets the sun.
You're welcome to bring up to two dogs. We provide a cot and highchair if needed. There's parking on the site.
The local pub is about a mile away in Pontyates. A proper shop is about four miles away in Kidwelly. Kidwelly itself is worth a visit, it's an old market town with a very good Norman castle.
For things to do, Ffos Las racecourse and Glyn Abbey Golf Course are close by. Pembrey Country Park is about a ten-minute drive. That's got a huge beach, woods, a toboggan run, and a dry ski slope. The National Botanic Garden of Wales and the Llanelli Wetland Centre are both within half an hour. The Gower Peninsula and Pembrokeshire are about an hour's drive for a longer day out.
