Ty Celyn Farmhouse
Ty Celyn Farmhouse is on our sheep farm in Pontyates. It's a detached stone house. The place is old, sixteenth century I think. We've fixed it up, but it's not a show home. It's a house.
It sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The stairs are original, so they're steep and a bit uneven.
You've got the garden to yourselves, it's enclosed. There's a BBQ out there. Inside, there's a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen has an old bread oven, it doesn't work but it's part of the house. We've put in a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
The local pub is about a mile away. They do food. The nearest shop is further out, about eight miles, so you'll want to bring supplies.
The beach at Cefn Sidan, which is part of Pembrey Country Park, is about 20 minutes by car. Kidwelly Castle is 15 minutes away. The National Botanic Garden of Wales is a good day out, that's about half an hour away. For walks, you've got the coast path or the Millennium Coastal Path near Llanelli.
