Ty Celyn Farmhouse
Ty Celyn is a farmhouse on our sheep farm in Pontyates. It's old, from the 1500s. It's detached and you get the garden to yourselves. It sleeps eight, with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating.
It's a working farm, so you'll see sheep in the fields. The house has thick stone walls and old beams. The stairs are the original ones, so they're a bit steep and winding. The kitchen floor is quarry tile, which can be cold, so bring slippers.
There's a pub about a mile away that does food. The nearest proper shop is about eight miles away in Kidwelly, so it's best to arrive with what you need.
The house has a wood burner. We leave some wood for you to get started. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
For things to do, Cefn Sidan beach is about a twenty minute drive. It's a long, sandy beach. Kidwelly Castle is about ten minutes away. The National Botanic Garden of Wales is half an hour's drive. Pembrey Country Park has woods and a long beach, and it's about twenty five minutes by car.
