Ty Hir Pontyates

Ty Hir is a single-storey cottage in Pontyates. It's detached and used to be a cowshed. We converted it. It's got three bedrooms and sleeps six.

There are two bathrooms. One is a ground floor wet room. The floors are wood and the ceilings are beamed, with some exposed stone. You can see it was a farm building, but it's warm and dry.

The garden is big and lawned. There's a raised patio area with some furniture. The property is at the end of our private lane, so it's quiet. There's parking right there.

You can walk to the pub in two minutes. It's at the end of the lane. They do food and local ales. The village shop is about a ten minute walk.

A lot of places are close by. Kidwelly Castle is about ten minutes in the car. Pembrey Country Park is fifteen minutes. It's got a huge beach, woods, and a toboggan run. The Llanelli Wetland Centre is about twenty minutes away. The National Botanic Garden of Wales is roughly half an hour.

For the coast, you can drive to Cefn Sidan sands at Pembrey, or go to Llansteffan, which is about twenty five minutes. The Visit Wales site has more ideas for the area.

Inside, there's a wood burner. We leave some wood for you. The kitchen has a dishwasher. There's a TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. Sorry, no pets.

The property has a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, not luxurious.
