Ysgubor Wen

This is Ysgubor Wen. It's near Burry Port in Carmarthenshire. It's a big detached place, used to be a barn. It sleeps ten, in five bedrooms. Two bathrooms.

It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. It's not a show home, but everything works and it's clean. It's good for families or a group.

The garden is enclosed. There's a patio with a BBQ and a hot tub that seats seven. Inside, there's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings, and a games room for wet days. We include bedding and towels. There's parking right there.

You can bring up to two dogs. We have a cot, highchair and stairgate if you need them.

The location is handy. You're on the edge of Burry Port, which is a harbour town. It's about a twenty minute walk to the local pub and restaurant, or a couple of minutes in the car. The shop is a mile away. The coast path is very close by. You can walk to Pembrey Country Park from here, or drive it in five minutes. That's got miles of beach and a forest.

For golf, the Ashburnham links course at Pembrey is five minutes away. The famous one at Machynys in Llanelli is about fifteen minutes drive. Ffos Las racecourse is about twenty minutes inland.

If you want to explore, Carmarthen and Llandeilo are nice market towns, about half an hour away. Kidwelly Castle is fifteen minutes up the road. Tenby is about forty minutes drive if you fancy a day at the seaside.

Burry Port itself is where Amelia Earhart landed after flying across the Atlantic, which is a bit of local history.
