The Malt House
The Malt House is in Rothbury, on a quiet cul-de-sac. It's a three bedroom place that sleeps five, and it's got a four star rating. That means it's comfortable and well looked after, not that it's grand.
You've got your own patio with seating. The garden is shared with the other cottages in the close, but it's mostly just a quiet bit of lawn. There's a downstairs toilet, which is handy. The main bathroom is upstairs.
It's about a two minute walk to the River Coquet. Good for a stroll. The town centre is a few minutes walk the other way. There are shops, a couple of pubs that do food, and a Co-op.
Cragside Estate is basically on your doorstep. It's a National Trust place with a Victorian house and massive gardens you can walk around. Well worth a visit. National Trust Cragside.
If you want to go further, Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about half an hour's drive. The Northumberland coast, like Alnmouth or Craster, is roughly the same. For walking, you're right on the edge of Northumberland National Park. Northumberland National Park.
Inside, there's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. No pets, sorry. There's a highchair if you need one.
