Heughendon is a house in Rothbury. It's right next to the River Coquet, so you can hear the water from the garden.
It's got two bedrooms and sleeps four. There's one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The back garden is enclosed, which is good if you have dogs. You can bring up to two.
The garden gate opens onto a footpath along the river. You see herons sometimes, and if you're very lucky, a kingfisher.
Rothbury itself is a small town with shops and a couple of pubs. It's at the edge of the Northumberland National Park. The Simonside Hills are right there for walking. For a proper day out, Cragside House is just up the road. It's a National Trust place with amazing gardens and was the first house lit by hydroelectric power.
Alnwick Castle is about half an hour's drive. They have the Poison Garden and it was used for Hogwarts in the films. The Northumberland coast, like Alnmouth or Craster, is also roughly half an hour away. Hadrian's Wall is a bit further, maybe 45 minutes to an hour depending on which bit you go to.
Inside, it has what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is on site.
