Castlebergh Cottage

Castlebergh Cottage is in Settle, a market town in North Yorkshire. It's a one bedroom cottage for two people, attached on one side to another house.

The layout is a bit unusual. You come into the lounge on the ground floor. Then the kitchen is downstairs, on the lower ground floor. The bedroom and bathroom are up on the first floor. The stairs are stone and quite steep in places, which is pretty standard for round here.

It's a 4 Star property. It's been done up nicely. The bedroom has a kingsize bed. The bathroom upstairs has both a shower and a freestanding bath. There's a wood burner in the lounge. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's a separate little boot room by the back door where you can leave muddy boots or store a couple of bikes.

Settle itself is a five-minute walk away. Everything you'd need is there: a Booths supermarket, a good butchers, bakeries, cafes, and several pubs that do food. The market is on a Tuesday. There's a very good cheesemonger just outside town called The Courtyard Dairy.

It's a good spot for walking. You can head straight up onto Castleberg Crag from the back of the cottage. For longer walks, the Three Peaks are on the doorstep, and you're right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. There's also the Settle to Carlisle railway line if you fancy a train trip.

Facilities: WiFi, TV, all bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car. No pets, sorry.
