Kelcow

Kelcow is a three-bedroom flat in a converted mill just outside Settle. It sleeps six and has one bathroom.

It gets a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's detached within the mill building, so you have your own front door. There's an allocated parking space right outside.

The building is old, from the 1700s, so expect low beams in some places and the windows are sash windows. They work fine, but they're not new. You can still see some of the original mill features.

You get a washing machine, towels and bedding are included, and there's WiFi and a TV. One well-behaved dog is welcome.

Settle itself is a five-minute walk. It's a proper market town with a good square. There's a decent co-op for groceries, a few cafes, and some nice pubs.

The big thing here is the walking. You're right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The Three Peaks aren't far. You can start a walk from the door. For a slightly easier day, Malham Cove and the limestone pavement is about a 15-minute drive. Gordale Scar is nearby too.

If you want a day out, Skipton is 20 minutes south. They've got the castle and the canal. Ingleton, with its waterfalls walk, is about 25 minutes north.
