This beautifully presented barn conversion is a fantastic holiday home in a location that offers guests the chance to explore all that Derbyshire has to offer.
Fold House Barn is a converted barn situated on the owner’s 5-acre smallholding with pygmy goats, chickens and the owner’s dogs. The property is near Ogston Reservoir overlooking countryside with the owner’s property next door. It’s situated over two levels with a cosy, open plan living and kitchen area downstairs. The living area comes complete with wood burner for those colder days and the kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need in a holiday home . Upstairs are two good sized bedrooms and a family bathroom. Outside there is a courtyard garden with garden furniture for guests to enjoy on sunny evenings.
Walkers will find many routes directly from the doorstep offering you the chance to explore this fantastic area. Close by you will find Hardwick Hall, built in the 1590s by ’Bess of Hardwick’, once the second most powerful woman in England after Queen Elizabeth I. The jaw-dropping hall is now open to the public through the National Trust and has a visitor centre with shop and coffee shop. Only a short drive from Fold House Barn you will find the delights of the Peak District, including Chatsworth House, the town of Matlock and Matlock Bath famous for its illuminations and Heights of Abraham cable car. Bakewell, Chesterfield and Nottinghamshire’s Robin Hood country are also nearby. Overall, Fold House Barn offers a perfect location for visitors at any time of the year. Shop and pub ¾ mile, restaurant 1 mile.
