River View
River View is in Saltash, on the Cornish side of the river. It's a small bungalow, really, but it's on a slope. That means you go down steps to the front door, and the main living area is on that lower floor.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's comfortable and well looked after. The bedroom is upstairs. You can walk out from there onto a small balcony. The living area has big sliding doors that open onto a decked garden. You look straight out over the River Tamar and the bridge. It's a good view.
There's a local pub within walking distance. The town has the basics. For a bigger shop, you cross the bridge into Plymouth. That's about ten minutes by car. Plymouth has the Barbican, the Hoe, and the National Marine Aquarium. You can get boat trips from there too.
Cornwall is right there. The beaches at Whitsand Bay are about twenty minutes away. Looe and Polperro are half an hour or so. For walks, Dartmoor is easily reachable, maybe twenty-five minutes to the edge of the park. The Dartmoor National Park website has good walking routes.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking on site. All bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
