Fir Cottage
Fir Cottage is in Carkeel, near Saltash. It's one of a few cottages here, on the same site, but it's detached so you have your own walls. You get a private, enclosed garden. The main bit is a big shared field and a woodland walk. There's a play area for kids.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom and one bathroom is on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's modern and clean. Everything's open plan downstairs.
You're right by the A38, so it's easy to get into Cornwall. It feels rural though, you're on the edge of 27 acres. It's good for a family or two couples. You can bring up to two dogs.
The site has things like a washing machine, dishwasher, and wifi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
For things to do, the Eden Project is about a 20 minute drive. That's a full day out. St Mellion golf resort is ten minutes away. The coast is a bit further, maybe 20 to 30 minutes to a beach like Freathy.
There's a shop and a pub about two miles away in the village. For walking, you're close to the Tamar Valley and not far from the South West Coast Path. Useful links: National Trust Cornwall and Cornwall Council Countryside for footpaths.
