Chestnut Cottage
Chestnut Cottage is one of the cottages at Woodside Stables in Carkeel, near Saltash. It's in a quiet spot, up a track off the A38. You've got your own enclosed garden with the hot tub, and there are 27 acres of shared grounds around you with a big lawn, a play area, and a woodland walk.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both en-suite, so you get two bathrooms. The rating is 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well looked after. It's all on one level, which makes it easier if steps are a problem. The doorways are wide enough for a wheelchair too.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's a TV and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside.
The local shop and a couple of pubs are about two miles away in St Germans. The closest proper beach is probably Freathy, which is about a 20 minute drive.
For a day out, the Eden Project is about a 25 minute drive. St Mellion golf course is only ten minutes away. Adrenaline Quarry, for the zip wires and things, is about half an hour.
You're well placed for getting around. Plymouth is over the bridge, about 15 minutes. The Cornwall Coastal Path is easily reachable in several places, like Rame Head or Downderry. Bodmin Moor is about a 30 minute drive north.
