Mayflower 60
Mayflower 60 is an apartment in the Royal William Yard in Plymouth. It's a second-floor flat in one of those big old naval stone buildings. You can use the lift to get up there.
It's a one-bedroom place but it sleeps five because there are sofa beds in the living area. Five star rating means it's finished to a high standard. The bed has good linen, and the towels are decent.
The main room is open plan. There's a kitchen at one end, then the living and dining space. The windows look out over the water, which is the main feature. You can sit on the deep window seat. There's a TV with a sound system you can connect your phone to, and the lights can change colour.
The kitchen is properly equipped if you want to cook. There's a coffee machine with pods provided, and tea. But you're right in the middle of the Yard, so you'll probably eat out. There are a lot of restaurants and a few bars here on site. There's also a cinema, a small gym and spa, and some shops.
Parking is on site. The apartment has WiFi.
From the Yard, you're a short walk along the water into Plymouth city centre. The Barbican is the old part with pubs and cafes. The Hoe is the big open cliff-top area with the lighthouse. You can get a ferry over to Cornwall from right here, which takes about eight minutes.
