Kings Haven

Kings Haven is a townhouse by the water in Plymouth. It's on a little street that looks right out over Mount Batten Bay.

It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The layout is a bit upside down. The kitchen and dining area are on the ground floor. That's where you go out to a decent sized terrace with a big corner sofa set. The main living room is actually one floor up, on the first floor. That's because of the view. You can see straight across the harbour to the Barbican and the lighthouse. There's a balcony there with a bistro table.

The master bedroom is also on that first floor. It's got a kingsize bed, a dressing area, and an en-suite shower room. The other two bedrooms are on the floor above, the second floor. Both are kingsize rooms, though one can be split into twins. They all have the same view.

The location is the main thing. There's a pub about fifty yards away. The ferry over to the Barbican is a two-minute walk. That's very handy. Once you're across, you've got all the cafes and restaurants there, or you can carry on into the city centre. The water sports centre and coastal path start just down the road. The nearest beach is a bit of a walk, about a mile and a quarter.

It's got a 5 Star rating, so everything is in good order. There is on-site parking for one car. The whole place is on one level from the parking area to the ground floor, so the entrance is wheelchair accessible. Inside, there are stairs to the living areas.

For things to do, you can get the ferry from the Barbican over to the Royal William Yard or across to Mount Edgcumbe. You're close to the South West Coast Path here. Dartmoor is about a thirty-minute drive if you fancy a change from the coast.

Facilities include a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
