Fordbrook Cottage
Fordbrook Cottage is attached to the big old farmhouse where we live. It’s separate, you’ve got your own front door. We run a small plant nursery here too, so there are usually a lot of flowers about.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s comfortable and has what you need. The kitchen is modern. The garden is yours to use and there’s a table and a barbecue out there.
You’re on the edge of Brixton village. There’s a shop and a pub about a mile away. The nearest proper beach is about a fifteen minute drive. Plymouth is close, maybe twenty minutes in the car. That’s where you’ll find the big shops, the Barbican, the aquarium, and the Hoe.
For days out, you’ve got good options. The South West Coast Path is accessible in a few places nearby. Dartmoor is about half an hour’s drive for walking. Places like Pennywell Farm or the South Devon Railway are within half an hour for kids. If you’re into sailing, Noss Mayo is a short drive away.
Included in the cottage: all bedding and towels, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, a dishwasher. There’s a cot and a highchair if you need them, and a stairgate. Parking is right outside. We do allow pets, up to two.
