Sir Francis Drake

The Sir Francis Drake apartment is on Elliot Terrace overlooking Plymouth Hoe. It's a big, old building with some fancy details inside. You get the views from the front windows.

It sleeps six, but there are only two bedrooms. So that means two double beds and the other two beds are in a sort of alcove space off the living area. It's fine for kids. There's one bathroom.

The place has a 5 Star rating, which covers things like the quality of the fixtures. It's comfortable.

You're right on the Hoe. The Barbican with the old cobbled streets and the marina is a short walk downhill. There's a lido on the Hoe for swimming in the summer. The beach at the base of the cliffs is about 100 yards away, down some steps.

A shop, a pub, and restaurants are literally 50 yards from the door. You won't need to drive for basics.

It comes with a permit for one car. You park on the street outside. If you need space for a second car, you have to arrange it with me beforehand and it costs an extra ten pounds.

Included in the place: bedding, towels, a cot, a highchair, a washing machine, a dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. The electricity and utilities are included in the price. No pets, sorry.

There's a lot to do locally. The National Trust page for Plymouth Hoe has history. For wider trips, Visit Plymouth is useful. Dartmoor is about a 30 minute drive north if you want open space.
