Lady Astor Apartment
The Lady Astor Apartment is on Elliot Terrace on Plymouth Hoe. It's up on the first floor, in a big old Italianate building. This is the apartment block where Nancy Astor and Arthur Conan Doyle used to live. It's Grade II* listed, so the cornicing and the big windows are all original features. The views from the front rooms are the main thing. You look right out over the Hoe and Plymouth Sound towards Drakes Island.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been finished to a high standard. The building is split into apartments, so you'll hear some normal neighbour noise.
You're right on the Hoe. The sea is about 100 yards away, down the hill. The Tinside Lido is a short walk along the front if you fancy an outdoor swim. The Barbican, with the old cobbled streets and the marina, is about a 15-20 minute walk.
There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant literally 50 yards from the front door. You won't need to drive for basics.
You get one parking permit included. If you need a second car parked, it's an extra ten pounds per permit, but you have to arrange that with me beforehand.
Inside, it's got a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, TV, and all the bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets.
