This is a perfect retreat for couples, friends and families alike, where you can take a relaxing soak in the hot tub or explore the Norfolk Broads and Norfolk’s amazing coastline. Discerning guests will enjoy and delight in the attention to detail to provide the perfect holiday home. After a day sightseeing you can soak away the day in the 6 person hot tub with a lounger seat, or relax within the wonderful enclosed and very private garden. There is also a secure shed which can be used for bikes for the cyclists among you and also a EVP 4 miles away.
Thistlewood is set in the heart of Wroxham, in a very desirable location. Wroxham, known as capital of the Norfolk Broads National Park, having a wealth of amenities and waterside activities to enjoy is easily accessible leave the car behind it’s just a 5 minute walk away. Daily boat hire and river trips available to enjoy the expanse of waterways. Hire a canoe or kayak for the day, or even by the hour, to explore at your own pace. Or just sit back and relax in the many waterside cafes and restaurants; enjoy the array of shops including a supermarket. Having two train stations; a mainline station leading to coastal area such as Cromer, and the city of Norwich, and the Bure Valley miniature steam gauge railway. A few minutes further drive away is Wroxham Barns, a children’s petting farm, with small funfair rides and a complex of various craft barns, café and restaurants.
A must for any walkers is the hour stroll along the Hoveton Great Broad Nature Trail, accessible only by boat or ferry. For the shopaholics, head to Norwich city centre with its two indoor shopping malls, market square and many high street boutiques, also with cathedral, castle museum, theatre, and plenty of eateries including award winning restaurants, 8 miles. For family fun head to BeWILDerwood at neighbouring Horning, offers an outdoor tree house adventure with zip wires, jungle bridges and marsh walks and Dinosaur Park at Lenwade, outdoor and indoor adventure park, with splash play zone. Sprowston golf and Spa, 5 miles. Sandy beach 12 miles. Shops, pubs and restaurants 1400 yards.
