This gem of a cottage with a private enclosed courtyard garden boasts your very own hot tub to enjoy. Smyth Cottage is one of the oldest homes in the town of Beccles, a wonderful timber framed cottage, oozing charm and character. Nothing has been forgotten, guests will delight in the excellent standard of furnishing and comfort throughout. The living room has a large inglenook fireplace boasting a wood burner, perfect for a quiet night in.
The cottage has the most desired location in Beccles, just a short stroll from the heart of the historical and pretty market town. Beccles stands on the Norfolk and Suffolk border in the Broads National Park where the River Waveney runs through. The town itself boasts independent boutiques and chain shops, excellent collection of eateries, including fine dining to many cafés serving homemade cakes and savouries to delight many palates. The weekly market is excellent for all things local should you wish to kick back and enjoy a night of cooking and dining in.
There are many wonderful places nearby, The Broads National Park is a big draw for people visiting this area, best enjoyed on the watering ways with kayaks, canoes and day boat motor launches for a more leisurely pace of life. Or enjoy a guided boat tour, where you can really just sit back and soak up the incredible national park. On the doorstep is the Lido open air heated outdoor swimming pool, popular with many local swimmers and located alongside the River Waveney. You are perfectly placed to explore both Norfolk and Suffolk, Lowestoft is the most easterly point in the UK and Norwich, a bustling cathedral city with culture, heritage and entertainment for all. is easily reached.
