Down a quiet country lane, the Dairy is set in quiet countryside, among trees and mature gardens and with immediate access to woods, lanes, and fields.
In a previous existence, the Dairy was the milking parlour for Home Cottage Farm. Newly converted into compact studio accommodation, it now offers romantic charm, zen and comfort. A place in which to relax and destress. The patio seating is a place to soak up the sun, or, with no light pollution, an opportunity to stargaze. For your first breakfast, a complimentary continental style breakfast - bread, butter, preserves, juice, coffee -is provided.
The Dairy is equidistant to the villages of Rocklands and Great Ellingham, both of which have well stocked general stores and pubs serving food. A short drive away are the Norfolk market towns of Attleborough, Wymondham and Watton. A little further afield are the historic towns of Bury St Edmunds - its Angel Hotel immortalised by Charles Dickens, Thetford and its surrounding forests giving opportunity for walking, cycling, and picnicking, and Swaffham, a gracious Georgian town with a wealth of independent shops.
The amazing North Norfolk coast is an hour’s drive away. There are wide beaches, the coastal path, the RSPB nature and bird reserves, and the delightful old world seaside towns of Sheringham, Southwold and Cromer.
Our fine cathedral city of Norwich is half an hour’s drive away, boasting a wealth of historic and beautiful buildings as well as the Norman castle, a market, established since before the Normans came, and lots of opportunity for shopping in small enterprises, as well as the major retailers. Enjoy your stay.
