Outside you will find plenty of off-road parking space and a generous wrap-around garden to the rear which enjoys fantastic side and rear field views. There is also a covered patio area providing the perfect place for outdoor dining.
The marvellous Breckland location on the Norfolk/Suffolk border will appeal to walkers, cyclists, bird watchers and nature enthusiasts, being just a short distance from Thetford Forest.
The forest itself is home to High Lodge Visitors Centre which offers extensive walking and cycling trails, Go Ape tree top challenge, Segway hire and children’s play areas. There is a café and a barbecue area at the centre or, why not take a picnic to enjoy. Cycle hire is available including electric bikes, which are ideal for those who haven’t ventured on a cycle for a while to enjoy the beautiful woodland trails. High Lodge also holds regular seasonal attractions, such as music concerts and other events throughout the year. The nearby market town of Thetford, 7 miles, is home to the Dad’s Army Museum and is a must see for any fans of the show. Other local attractions include The Dessert Rat Memorial, The Charles Burrell Museum and Thetford Priory.
A little further afield, Bressingham Steam Museum and Gardens offers nearly 20 acres of tranquil and beautifully laid out gardens to explore, along with working locomotives to ride on whilst enjoying the scenery. Or, why not have a day out at Banham Zoo which will appeal to all the family, with lots of animals to see including rare tigers, snow leopards, giraffes and the ever popular meerkats.
