Just footsteps from the wide, sandy beach, which is considered one of the best in the area by many locals, this shoreline is just teeming with coastal habitats to explore and whether you like wild swimming, paddling, rock-pooling, blustery beach walks or wildlife you will find somewhere to delight. There are lots of family friendly activities including BeWilderwood, Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach, Golden Mile, and the area is teaming with history too. The Blickling and Holkham Estates along with North Norfolk Heritage Railway, the Thursford and Muckleburgh Collections, Norwich Castle and numerous small local museums are all within easy reach.
The great thing about this location is that you are also just 25 minutes’ drive from Wroxham, the gateway to the beautiful Norfolk Broads. Here you can charter a day launch or join a tour and drift along these famous waterways. For a change of pace, head to Norwich and shop ‘till you drop in the quaint lanes or visit the award-winning open-air daily market. And if all the sightseeing and sea air has helped you to work up an appetite, Mundesley itself has lots of great places to eat and drink and the whole area is teaming with artisan cafés, inns and restaurants, many of which serve fresh, seasonal, local produce so you will be spoilt for choice.
