The Lookout is one of three barn conversions in Ticknall. It's terraced, but you have your own driveway. The main thing is the view out the back, over the fields. The big doors at the back open right up.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. One has a bath, the other a walk-in shower. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's very well done. Everything feels new and it's got things like bathrobes.
There's a patio and a private hot tub out the back, looking at that view.
Inside, it's open plan. The kitchen's modern with an island. The living area has a TV and WiFi. There's a washing machine and dishwasher. All bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is right there.
The village shop and a couple of pubs are about a mile away in Ticknall. Melbourne is close too, about three miles, for more shops and places to eat.
You're right on the edge of The National Forest, so there's walking and cycling from the door. For a proper day out, Calke Abbey is just down the road. The Peak District is about half an hour's drive. That gets you to places like Chatsworth or Bakewell. Donington Park, for the race track or the Download Festival, is about fifteen minutes away.
No pets, I'm afraid.
