Lavender Lodge
Lavender Lodge is in Willington, near Derby. It's a detached lodge so you're on your own. The park is quiet, mainly for people who own places here.
It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is a wet room on the ground floor. It’s got a 4 Star rating. The place is new and well-finished.
The living area is open plan. There’s a PlayStation 5 and a Roberts radio. The kitchen has Smeg appliances, which are colourful. The dining table extends if you need it to.
Outside, there’s a veranda with a corner sofa and reclining chairs. The table out there goes up and down. There are purpose-built brick BBQs on the site you can use. The lodge itself comes with picnic gear.
You get two parking spaces. There’s a path from there to the lodge, and a bench by the door to take your boots off.
There’s a play area for kids on the park. A local pub is within walking distance. For bigger shops, you’d drive into Derby.
The lodge backs onto a park with some trees and picnic spots. We have two rabbits that visit most days, and sometimes squirrels.
It’s a good spot for visiting the Peak District. Carsington Water is about 15 minutes away for sailing or walking. The National Tramway Museum at Crich is about 20 minutes. Chatsworth House is around half an hour’s drive.
