Burdettes Cottage
Burdett's Cottage is in Foremark, Derbyshire. It's one of three cottages here. They used to be part of the Foremark Hall estate. Ours is the little one, sleeps two.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well looked after. It's old. The roof timbers are exposed and you can see the old brickwork. There's a wood burning stove in the living room. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they turn a corner and are a bit steep.
You've got your own patio and garden area. It looks out towards the fields and Foremark Hall itself. It's very quiet.
There's a shop and a pub in the village about a mile away. For walking, you're right on the edge of the National Forest. You can walk from the door.
Foremark Reservoir is very close. Good for a stroll. Calke Abbey is about ten minutes by car. You can get to the Peak District easily, maybe twenty five minutes to the southern edges. Derby is about twenty minutes in the other direction if you need anything.
Inside, there's one bedroom with an en suite shower room. Bedding is included. There's a washing machine, TV, and wifi. Parking is right outside. We accept up to two dogs.
