Fern Lodge

Fern Lodge is a single-storey wooden lodge just outside Melbourne. It's one of a group called Sandbanks Lodges. It's for two people.

It's an open plan layout, so the living, kitchen and dining area is all one space. The bedroom has its own shower room, which you can also get to from the main hallway. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.

Outside, there's a deck with seating. It looks out over woodland. You're on the edge of the National Forest, so you can walk straight from the door. It's quiet.

Melbourne has shops and pubs, about a mile away. It's a nice village to walk around.

For days out, Calke Abbey is close by. It's a National Trust house with a lot of land to explore. Staunton Harold reservoir is nearby too. Willington, about four miles, has a huge marina if you like watching boats.

You're very close to the Peak District. Chatsworth House is about a 30-minute drive. So are Bakewell and Matlock. They're proper market towns with plenty to see.

The lodge has WiFi, a TV, parking right outside, and all bedding and towels are provided. There's no garden, just the deck. No pets, sorry.
