Fern Lodge is a one-bedroom lodge on the edge of Melbourne. It's on one level, so no stairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's small but it feels quite spacious inside because it's open plan. Sleeps two.
The bedroom has an en-suite shower. You can also get to the shower from the hallway, which is handy.
Outside there's a deck with seating. It looks out over the woods. The place is right on a footpath into the National Forest, so you can walk straight from the door.
Melbourne itself is about a mile away. It's a nice village with shops and pubs. The local pub is about a mile's walk.
You're well placed for getting out. Calke Abbey is close by for walks. National Trust Calke Abbey. The Peak District boundary is only a few minutes' drive. Chatsworth, Bakewell, and Matlock are all within half an hour.
Facilities: there's a TV, WiFi, parking right outside, and all bedding and towels are included. The kitchen is part of the open plan living area. There's a washing machine. No pets.
