Woodside Retreat, Number 37

Woodside Retreat is number 37. It's a single-storey cottage attached to our house, but it's completely separate. You get your own front door and a private garden out the back.

It's for two people. One bedroom with a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. The main room is open plan, kitchen at one end and living space at the other. The ceilings are high so it feels quite spacious. The doors open onto a decked area in the garden.

The garden is enclosed. You can park right outside the door. There's an electric vehicle charger if you need it.

You're in Newbold, on the edge of the National Forest. You can walk straight out into the countryside from the cottage. The village pub is about a ten minute walk. There's a restaurant and a coffee shop about the same distance.

Ashby-de-la-Zouch is three miles away. It's a market town with shops and a few places to eat. The castle ruins are there too. For a bigger supermarket, you'd go to Coalville, which is about four miles.

For days out, Calke Abbey is a National Trust property about twenty minutes away by car. Hicks Lodge is good for cycling and walks. Conkers is a family activity centre, also nearby. Donington Park race circuit is about fifteen minutes' drive.

The Peak District is roughly a forty-five minute drive if you want proper hills.

Inside, there's a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. All bedding and towels are included. We allow up to four pets. There's no extra charge for them.
