Woodside Retreat is number 37, over in Newbold in Leicestershire. It's a single-storey place, so no stairs to worry about. It sleeps two, in one bedroom.
The main room is open plan, kitchen and living area together. The ceilings are high, which makes it feel quite spacious. Doors go straight out to your own private garden, which is enclosed. There's some decking out there.
The bedroom has a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower room. It's all one level, so it's straightforward.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable. Everything you need is here: bedding, towels, washing machine, WiFi. There's parking right outside.
The location is quiet. You're right in the National Forest, so you can walk straight from the door. There's a pub about 700 yards away that does food, and a restaurant even closer. A shop is about a mile and a half.
Ashby-de-la-Zouch is the nearest proper town, about three miles. It's a market town with a castle ruin. For a longer day out, Calke Abbey is a National Trust property nearby. The Peak District is about a 30-minute drive if you want proper hills.
