The Retreat
The Retreat is one of three barn conversions here, all joined together. You get your own private driveway.
It's a 5-star place, so everything is very new and well put together. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. Sleeps four.
The main thing is the big doors and windows. They open right up onto your own private patio, which has a hot tub. The view is over fields, nothing in the way. It's very light inside.
As it's a modern conversion, the layout is all on one level. No steep stairs to worry about.
You're in Ticknall village. There's a shop and a couple of pubs about a mile away. Melbourne is close too, it's got good shops and places to eat.
For a day out, Calke Abbey is right on the doorstep. Big house, lots of grounds to walk in. You're on the edge of The National Forest here, so plenty of walking and cycling trails from the door.
The Peak District is about half an hour's drive. That gets you to places like Chatsworth or Bakewell.
All the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and wi-fi. Parking is on the driveway. No pets allowed.
