Bay Tree Lodge is in Willington, Derbyshire. It's on the Mercia Marina site, which is a big inland marina. The lodge is detached, with its own parking right outside.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms and walk-in wardrobes. One has a double bed and a bath, the other has two singles and a shower. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well done. Everything feels new and clean.
The main room is all open plan: kitchen, living area, dining table. Doors open out onto a veranda. It's a quiet spot on the marina, you can sit out there and watch the boats.
On site, there's the Boardwalk. That's a row of little shops and a two-storey bar and restaurant. You can walk along the water from there. There's also a sensory garden at the end.
The village of Willington has a shop and a couple of pubs. It's about six miles from Derby if you need a bigger town.
For days out, you're well placed. The Peak District is about a 20-minute drive. You can get to places like Bakewell or Ashbourne easily. Calke Abbey is very close. For walking, the Peak District National Park site has good information. The National Trust looks after a lot of local properties too.
Facilities: it's got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's an electric vehicle charger. No pets, I'm afraid.
