Mahonia Lodge
This is Mahonia Lodge. It's in Willington, Derbyshire. It's a new place, built as a holiday lodge, so it's all on one level and very open plan. It sleeps eight people.
There are three bedrooms. One has a kingsize bed and its own shower room. The second bedroom has twin beds that can be joined into a double. The third bedroom has two sets of bunk beds, so it sleeps four. All the bedrooms have a TV. There's a second bathroom with a shower as well.
The main room is big. There's a kitchen, a dining area, and a sitting area with leather sofas. You've got three sets of doors that open right out onto a large wooden deck. The deck gets the sun all day. It looks directly out onto an ornamental lake. You get that view.
It's on a marina site. The site has a dog walking field and a play area for children. There's a row of shops and a bar-restaurant on a boardwalk by the water. It's a five-minute walk down the towpath to Willington village. Willington has a Co-op, a few pubs, some takeaways, and a train station.
Facilities are what you'd expect for a new build. Wifi, smart TVs, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's an outdoor shower for washing them off. Parking is right outside.
For days out, you're about half an hour from places like the Peak District. National Trust Peak District has walking routes. Calke Abbey and Kedleston Hall are National Trust properties nearby. Alton Towers is within a 30-minute drive. The National Memorial Arboretum at Lichfield is also about half an hour away.
